Former player, manager and coach Jimy Williams has passed away, according to announcement from his previous clubs. He was 80 years old. Williams was born in Santa Maria, California in 1943 and started his professional career by signing with the Red Sox. Adrián Beltré, Joe Mauer, Todd Helton Elected To Baseball Hall Of Fame
The Hall of Fame announced this evening that Adrián Beltré, Joe Mauer and Todd Helton have been elected by the Baseball Writers Association of America. They will be elected alongside Jim Leyland, who was selected by the Era Committee last month. Beltré received 95.1% of the vote, Helton 79.7% and Mauer 76.1%.
