Bruins 1, Utah 2: Sloppy Effort Leads to Loss

What an extremely frustrating game for the Black and Gold.

Will the Boston Bruins leave Utah Salty or can they head to Nashville on a sweet note?

2nd Period

This game was a SLOG, but Cole Koepke continues his torrid scoring pace! He corrals the puck heading into the offensive zone and threads the needle five-hole through Connor Ingram, it’s 1-0 Bruins!

3rd Period

This was an eventful third period! Kailer Yamamoto scored but the Bruins challenged successfully for offsides to maintain the lead. Then this happened. Vladislav Kolyachonok speeds behind Brandon Carlo who dives but can’t recover, and lands a roof shot backhander past Jeremy Swayman. 1-1, Utah ties it.

Overtime

Pastrnak takes a trip, the penalty is killed but in the vulnerable moments post-kill, Michael Kesselring rips one top corns. Utah wins, 2-1.

Star

Cole Koepke (1 goal)

NESN made a remark that Koepke said the system is coming easy to him, and it absolutely shows. He and the fourth line continue to be remarkable.

Dud

Everyone Else But The Goalie

What is going on here? The top six look sloppy, Marchand got a right earful from Monty on the bench. They’re one of the most penalized teams in the NHL. They can’t hold onto leads, and leads that are large tend to become small very quickly. Something is wrong in the House of Commons.
