Goodbye to the grapes, man.

The Boston Bruins—in a mid-draft trade—send Jakub Lauko to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for Vinny Lettieri and a fourth-round pick swap. Man, what a weird one. Lauko, while not a consistent scoring plug, became an absolute fan favorite in Black and Gold for his ability to get under people’s skin. He was a mainstay on the fourth line for a good stretch of the season but sat for parts of the playoffs in lieu of a line of Jesper Boqvist-John-Beecher-Patrick Maroon. His cap hit wasn’t very high, so I don’t know if this is just to open a big club roster spot for someone else, I wouldn’t imagine seeing a ton of Lettieri in Boston more than Providence. We’ll have all the memories, Lauks.
