They’re practicing soon.
It is Wednesday, my dudes.
We’re going to take a brief interlude from the player ratings today to have a good, ol’ fashioned Morning Skate, mainly as a way to catch up on some minor bits of information.
First, in a sure sign that the new season is right around the corner, the Bruins announced their captains’ practices schedule on Tuesday, with the first one less than a week away.
Captains’ practices will be held at Warrior Arena on Tuesday, September 3 and Thursday, September 5, with both sessions at 11 AM.
Both sessions will also be open to the media, so we should get some fresh quotes, takes, thoughts, etc. from those in attendance.
Elsewhere, Jeremy Swayman (who remains without a contract, in case you didn’t know) went on a local podcast and opened up a bit about negotiations, setting the standard for other goalies, and more:
Jeremy Swayman remains an unsigned RFA, and shed light into his ongoing contract negotiations.

I remain fairly convinced that something will be hammered out sooner rather than later, but this is certainly turning into an uncomfortably long saga for Bruins fans.
Anyways, we’ve got less than a week until captains’ practices, then rookie camp starts two weeks from today and training camp starts the week after that.
What else is on tap for today?
