A former Bruin in a Celtics jersey?!
Welcome to the first Friday in June, folks! Here’s to hoping it’s a good one.
While the Bruins’ season is long over, TD Garden’s other tenant, the Boston Celtics, hosted Game 1 of the NBA Finals last night, a win over Dallas.
Along with the shared tenancy, there was another Bruins connection to last night’s game: former Bruins captain Zdeno Chara was honored during the game with the “Heroes Among Us” award for his work in the community:

Chara has always been active in the community, but particularly so since his retirement — including running the Boston Marathon twice to raise funds for Team Hoyt.
One thing that’s often lost when watching basketball on TV is just how big the players are.
Even a guy who might look “small,” like Derrick White, is 6’ 4”.
Perhaps nothing hammers that point home more than seeing Chara, the biggest skater in NHL history, looking like a standard dude next to Shaquille O’Neal:

Anyways, on to hockey! Annnnnd there’s not much going on.
Sky had you covered with a great look ahead at the summer, and that’s about all we have at this point: proposals, guesses, speculation, etc.
Around the NHL, the Stanley Cup Final begins in Sunrise on Saturday night, with the Panthers hosting the Oilers.
Aside from the combine, there hasn’t been much happening elsewhere, which is par for the course for this time of year. Things will likely pick up as we get closer to the draft.
Finally, Utah intrigue! The Utahns To Be Named Later announced their six name finalists: Blizzard, Mammoth, Outlaws, Venom, Yeti, and Utah Hockey Club (HC).
It seems like Yeti is the favorite, though Outlaws might be kind of cool too. Not sure the Euro-style “Utah HC” is a fit for Utah, but what do I know?
What’s on tap for today?
