We’ve got ‘em.
It is Wednesday, my dudes.
The Bruins season is over, but we’ve still got one more Boston hockey game on the calendar: tonight’s PWHL Final between Boston and Minnesota up in Lowell.
Nathan will have you covered for that game elsewhere, but the game will be broadcast on NESN and TSN, if you’d like to tune in.
The playoffs roll on without us, with the Stars and Oilers facing off in a big Game 4 tonight.
Elsewhere, the Bruins released their list of “key dates” for the off-season yesterday, a summer rite of passage.
These dates include:
- June 2-8: NHL Scouting Combine
- June 27: Pre-draft briefing from GM Don Sweeney
- June 28: First round of the NHL Draft, held at Sphere in Vegas.
- July 1: Free agency opens
- July 1-4: Development Camp at Warrior Arena
- September 11: Rookie Camp begins at Warrior Arena
- September 18: Training Camp begins at Warrior Arena
The Draft may not be the most riveting time of the summer for B’s fans, with the team not making their first pick until the fourth round.
However, there’s always the possibility for intrigue surrounding Linus Ullmark or other trades, as some have opined that if the Bruins move him, it’d be before or around the Draft.
(I’m not sure I really buy that as being necessary — the team could still wait for the right deal and get future draft capital, as it’s not essential to have a first-round pick this year.)
I’ve yet to see news of whether or not the Bruins will be participating in the Rookie Tournament that Buffalo usually hosts, but that will likely come out sooner rather than later.
So there you have it! Some stuff to half-mark on your calendar for the summer to keep us all busy.
What’s on tap for today?
