Still happening.
Welcome to Friday, folks! The end of another week is upon us.
If you live in the Boston area, prepare for a Friday of chaos in a (hopefully) good way, as the Celtics will have their championship parade downtown this morning.
In Bruins Land, all eyes remain on Linus Ullmark, as time seems to be ticking down towards what looks to be an inevitable trade at this point.
There will be a recent interview with Ullmark dropping tomorrow where he discusses the impact of the trade rumors on last season, so check that out if you’re so inclined.
Dave Pagnotta reports that Ullmark would be willing to accept a trade to Ottawa, which is a little surprising to me but I guess at some point you might just be willing to move somewhere when your team is actively, aggressively shopping you.
There have been other reports that the Bruins are seeking Jakob Chychrun and a first-round pick for Ullmark, while some others suggest Ottawa shouldn’t need to give up more than a late first-round pick.
As you can see, we’re all very much in agreement where things stand.
You can expect the rumors and the suggestions to keep swirling in the days leading up to next Friday’s first round of the 2024 NHL Draft.
We’ve got Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final on the books tonight as well, with the Flying McDavids flying at another level right now and poised to turn a 3-0 deficit into a 3-2 series.
McDavid has been playing like a man possessed, and as a neutral observer (skewing heavily towards a “Florida doesn’t deserve nice things” observer), it’s been a joy to watch.
For Oilers and Panthers fans, it’d be chaos, but for everyone else, a Game 7 sounds just wonderful.
We’ll see though! There’s another game to be played before then.
What’s on tap for today? What do you have that you would trade for Linus Ullmark?
Dunkaroos? Those were always a hot commodity back in the lunch table days.
