Into the offseason we go!
After a few Morning Skate-free days while I wallowed in sadness after Game 6, we are back!
Angelina had you covered with thoughts from break-up day, while Nathan continues to do a great job covering PWHL Boston’s title run.
Elsewhere, the conference finals are set thanks to Edmonton’s Game 7 win over Vancouver on Monday night.
In the East, it’ll be the Rangers vs. the Panthers, while in the West, we’ll have the Stars vs. the Oilers.
Both of these should be pretty entertaining series from a neutral observer’s perspective.
Otherwise, things should be pretty quiet around here.
We’ll get one last batch of content/takes today, as organizational leadership will speak to the media at 1 PM at TD Garden.
Charlie Jacobs, Cam Neely, Don Sweeney, and Jim Montgomery are all expected to speak.
My guess is most of the questions will be directed at Sweeney in terms of the wheeling and dealing he’ll need to do this summer, but I guess we’ll see!
The IIHF World Championships are ongoing as well, with Pavel Zacha and David Pastrnak joining up with Team Czechia — the tournament is being hosted by Czechia as well, so it’s a cool opportunity for those guys.
Czechia will be in action Tuesday morning, when they’ll face Canada. Pastrnak and Zacha are both likely to play.
What’s on tap for today?
