THE SPHERE.
It is Wednesday, my dudes.
Some of you already discussed this yesterday, but not everyone reads the comments: the big news in NHL circles on Tuesday was the league’s plan to hold the 2024 Draft at The Sphere in Las Vegas.
If you’re even remotely On Line, you’re well aware of The Sphere, whether it’s being turned into a giant Google Chrome logo or into an emoji.
The draft isn’t exactly the most exciting event in the world, so it’ll be interesting to see how all of that technology enhances things.
Reportedly, The Orb of Doom Draft will also be the last one held at a central location, with the league opting for their “decentralized” draft starting in 2025.
Elsewhere on Tuesday, the Bruins visited several Boston-area hospitals to spread some holiday cheer, including Johnny Beecher playing cornhole as a snowman:

Making spirits bright, indeed.
The B’s will practice today ahead of tomorrow’s visit from Buffalo, who got Tage Thompson back on Tuesday.
Today’s discussion topic
The Sphere was opened by U2, who did a whole bunch of concerts there in a row.
I have probably asked this before, but: what’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
I saw Them Crooked Vultures at House of Blues back when they were briefly a thing, and also saw Foo Fighters and The Black Keys, among others, play a charity concert in Central Park, which was cool.
