Let’s try again!
Happy Friday, folks!
In spite of the feelings from last night, the sun has indeed risen again. We carry on.
It’s understandable that the vibes were bad and tensions were high last night; however, just a friendly reminder to please try to keep comments as civil as possible.
The ironic part is that gone are the days of opposing fans coming into our comments section and starting trouble, as most of the sites have moved elsewhere.
Instead, we’re fighting with ourselves! When really, we should turn our ire to our true nemesis: the Boston Bruins.
(Kidding. Kind of.)
Anyways, I closed the comments for the recap and we can carry on for Friday here. While some of you may say “what’s the big deal” in regard to the comments on the recap, there were several that were hidden, auto-moderated, etc.
While the vibes are indeed in shambles, it’s worth noting that the season will, in fact, continue.
Game 7 will be on Saturday night at TD Garden, with an 8(ish) PM Eastern start.
As a reminder, that game will be an ABC national exclusive.
We’ll have plenty to discuss until then — just please try to do so as calmly as possible.
- Will Jeremy Swayman start Game 7? (Probably)
- Will Auston Matthews return for Game 7? (I wouldn’t be surprised)
- Will we see 402 replays of Florida Game 7 on ABC? (No, probably 502)
If you had asked 100 Bruins fans prior to the series “would you be happy with winning in seven,” I’d wager that 98 would say yes.
The problem with this whole scenario is the manner in which we’ve gotten to Game 7 — namely listless, disinterested first periods and a suddenly anemic offense.
So while it’d be better to head into Game 7 as part of a back-and-forth series, the B’s are heading to Game 7 regardless.
Surely they can’t lay three eggs in a row, right? Right?
RIGHT??????
Discuss.
