NHL Predictions
Nashville Predators vs Calgary Flames
Time: 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
TV: Fan Duel Sports South; SN West; ESPN+
Our first game of NHL predictions has the Nashville Predators visiting the Calgary Flames. Scott Wedgewood is the expected starter with Nashville playing the night before. These two teams are playing the opposite of what experts thought this season. Nashville is scuffling while Calgary is giving a good account of itself. Filip Forsberg leads the club in goals (8) and points (13).
Dustin Wolf is the expected starter for Calgary, but always check social media before locking in a fantasy starter. The Flames have lost seven of the last 10, but have been a tough out. Jonathan Huberdeau is first in goals with six while Rasmus Andersson is tops in points with 11.
The Predators are desperate, but are coming off the second game of a back-to-back.
Prediction: Flames win 4-3.
Vegas Golden Knights vs Utah Hockey Club
Head-to-Head: Golden Knights 1-0 Utah HC
Time: 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
TV: Utah16; Scripps Vegas; ESPN+
Our featured game has Vegas making the trip to Salt Lake City. Adin Hill is the likely starter for the Golden Knights, who got back on track with a win over the Anaheim Ducks. Jack Eichel has picked up the slack with 20 assists and 25 points with the Mark Stone injury. Pavel Dorofeyev is first on the team in goals with nine.
Utah has cooled off after its fast start and will likely go with Connor Ingram in the blue paint. Clayton Keller is first on the the team in points with 14 while Dylan Guenther tops Utah with seven goals. Utah HC did beat the Carolina Hurricanes last time out.
This should be a good game, but Vegas walks away with the win.
Prediction: Golden Knights win 3-2.
Washington Capitals vs Colorado Avalanche
Time: 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
TV: Monument Sports Network 2; Altitude2; ESPN+
We have a good matchup to continue NHL predictions as the Washington Capitals visit the Colorado Avalanche. Washington is slated to go with Charlie Lindgren in the crease for this one. Alex Ovechkin is leading in goals with 10 while Dylan Strome is tops in assists (18) and points (23).
Colorado is expected to counter with Alexandar Georgiev in the goal for this one. The Avalanche have won three straight and are starting to recover from a shaky start. Nathan MacKinnon is off to another great start with 33 points already this campaign. Mikko Rantanen powers the Avalanche offence in goals with 12 so far.
This could have made an argument for the featured game of the night. Colorado continues its good run with a victory.
Prediction: Avalanche win 4-2.
Detroit Red Wings vs Anaheim Ducks
Time: 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
TV: Sportsnet; KCOP; Fan Duel Sports Detroit; ESPN+
Prediction: Red Wings win 4-2.
Prop Bets of the Night
We close out NHL predictions with some prop bets of the night. Rantanen seems like a smart play as an anytime goalscorer on FanDuel at +145. Ovechkin seems like a good wager as an anytime at +155 on FanDuel as well.
