Game notes
- What’s the perfect antidote when you’ve lost six games in a row? Why, a road game against the defending Stanley Cup champions and recent boogeymen, the Florida Panthers! This should be fun.
- You already know things in Bruins Land are pretty bleak right now, so you probably don’t need much of a recap. We did get some fun, un-sourced “David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand don’t like each other” takes on Friday, which was cool. At least Rich Keefe got some attention.
- The Panthers are 6-4-0 in their last 10 games, with a 2-2 mark in their last four. They won last time out, beating the Utah Team to Be Named Later, 4-1.
- If you want to “laugh so you don’t cry,” Bruins cast-off Jesper Boqvist has four goals in his last five games and five goals in his last eight. While this is just an exercise in “let’s make ourselves mad,” Boqvist has 9 goals on the season, as many or more than Pavel Zacha, Elias Lindholm, and Trent Frederic, among others.
- The B’s are 0-2 against Florida on the season, with a road loss on Opening Night and a 4-3 home loss back in October. After tonight, these two teams won’t play each other again until mid-March.
- As a reminder, this is an ABC/ESPN+ nationally televised game.
See ya this afternoon!
