- Game notes
- The Boston Bruins continue their week against Canadian teams as they welcome the Calgary Flames to the TD Garden tonight. The B’s will see them again on Dec. 17.
- The Bruins struggled on special teams on Tuesday, taking a step back from a good few games. They will look to improve in that much needed area of their game tonight. The Bruins’ PK allowed three goals, but the team also took seven penalties as they got away from a few games with lower penalty numbers.
- Despite the Bruins’ giving up three goal on the PK last game, their PK is still better head-to-head than Calgary’s. The Flames are at 72.1” while the Bruins are at 76.2%.
- The Bruins power play is one of the worst in the league right now at 13.3%. The Flames are slightly better at 15.8%.
- The B’s were off on Wednesday so we’ll have to wait until later to see if Jim Montgomery makes any adjustments.
- ICYMI: The Bruins assigned Max Jones to Providence yesterday.
- The Calgary Flames have rebounded after a little lull at the end of October. They are 2-1-0 in their last three games, after a four-game losing streak. They last played on Tuesday when they beat the Montreal Canadiens, 3-2, in overtime.
- See ya tonight!
