Game notes
- The Boston Bruins are back tonight to face the Philadelphia Flyers tonight at the TD Garden!
- The Bruins will see them two more times after this and fairly fast. They’ll head to Philly on Saturday and then seem again at home on Dec. 7.
- Sunday was a good win for the Bruins, but there’s still much to improve. For one, not giving up late-period goals to tie the game and looking for more consistent 5v5 production from its “top” forwards.
- Bruins point leaders? David Pastrnak has eight points, but then the fourth line is right behind. Cole Koepke has seven followed by Mark Kastelic and Johnny Beecher with six apiece. Brad Marchand, who netted his first goal of the season on Sunday in OT, also has six points.
- There were some slight adjustments to lines at yesterday’s practice according to WEEI’s Scott McLaughlin. Justin Brazeau slid up with Brad Marchand and Charlie Coyle. -Coyle-Brazeau while Matt Poitras slotted in as center to Trent Frederic and Morgan Geekie. We saw some of this Sunday.
- The Flyers are struggling a BIT more than the Boston Bruins right now. They are 1-4-0 in their last five games and 1-7-0 in their last eight…Philly last played on Sunday, losing 4-3 to the Montreal Canadiens.
- Of you look past the results, the Flyers have scored some goals and is one of the reason’s Konecny has seven points in his last five games. That includes a five-point night from him on Oct. 26 where he had 1 goal and four assists — he’s on a three-game point streak.
- While the Flyers may not be the opponent to measure the Bruins’ progress, it will still be a chance to work on more of those details.
- See ya tonight!
