Game notes
- The Boston Bruins will look to build off last game as the Ottawa Senators come to town tonight. The Bruins see them four times this season with the next time on Jan. 18, 2025.
- Don’t know if we will get a goalie hug, but Linus Ullmark will be making his return to TD Garden ice for a face-off against bestie Jeremy Swayman. Ullmark is 0-2-0 in his last two starts and 1-4-0 in his last five starts. He last played Nov. 5, giving up five goals on 34 shots.
- It’s also the first game for Mark Kastelic and Joonas Korpisalo against their former team since being traded to the Bruins. But with Swayman likely the one in net, it will just be Kastelic battling against his once teammates. Kastelic right now though is pointless in his last four games. However, in just 15 games with the Bruins, he already has seven points. He registered his most points with the Senators in the 2022-23 season, putting up 11 points in 65 games.
- ICYMI: Pavel Zacha hit 300 career points last game with his two-point night.
- Jim Montgomery doesn’t appear to be changing lines or defensive pairings tonight if yesterday’s practice is any indication.
- Johnny Beecher was skating with the fourth line after playing just over six minutes on Thursday night. We’re see Montgomery up the accountability factor over the last several games and expect that to continue.
- The Bruins are still trying to figure out their special teams which are struggling. They are 12.9% — 30th in the league. The Sens are fourth at 31.0%.
- The Senators are 1-3-0 in their last four games. They last played on Thursday, falling 4-2 to the New York Islanders.
- For the Sens, Stutzle has registered at least a point in all, but two games so far. He’s on a three-game point streak with one goal and four assists.
- See ya tonight!
