We wrap up this past weekend’s action.
Not too much to be thankful for the college teams as they only managed three victories one the week but the PWHL is starting to finally give out details of the upcoming season.
Boston College (8-7-1, 8-3-1-1 HEA) USAT Poll: 15 (-1) HEA: 2nd (2 Points Behind)
- Last week: L 1-3 v Northeastern (11/25)
- Coming Week: @ Providence (12/1), @ Connecticut (12/2)
Not the result the Eagles wanted up in Gloucester but they showed they could skate with the Huskies and that could prove beneficial in what looks like a Beanpot final preview. This week they are on the road for a pair of games that would boost them into top spot if they win.
Boston University (6-7-1, 4-5-0-2 HEA) USAT Poll: NR HEA: 9th (15 Points behind)
- Last week: W 3-1 v Robert Morris (11/24), L 2-7 v Minnesota State (11/26)
- Coming Week: v Northeastern (12/1), @ Providence (12/2)
Beating the CHA foe was the minimum standard for the Terriers but the drubbing by Mankato just continues the downward fall of HEA. This week they host a Northeastern team that is starting to score goals again and then head to Providence to face a Friars team that isn’t/
Harvard University (1-11-1, 0-8-1-1 ECAC, 0-4-1 Ivy) USAT Poll: NR ECAC: 12th (21.5 Points Behind) Ivy: 6th (4 Games Behind)
- Last week: L 1-3 v Minnesota (11/24), L 3-4 v St. Thomas (11/25)
- Coming Week: v St. Lawrence (12/1), v Clarkson (12/2)
After a disappointing but expected weekend for the Crimson. They now host a pair of ECAC games to wrap up the 2023 year. They can’t be eliminated from the race for the top spot in the ECAC before the break but the magic number is now only 18 points, 6 games in ECAC play.
Northeastern University (10-8-0, 6-6-0-1 HEA) USAT Poll: ARV (19) (+) HEA: 3rd (6 Points Behind)
- Last week: W 3-1 v Boston College (11/25), W 4-2 v Providence (11/28)
- Coming Week: @ Boston University (12/1)
Was this a get right pair of games for the Huskies? The offense was flowing and the defense played well despite missing their top defenders to injury. They wrap the first half up on the road to BU.

Things are leaking for the season. The league has confirmed the rumor mill of where the team will play, in Lowell at the Tsongas Arena. We also know when the first home game will be on a Wednesday, January 3rd. The league has given no broadcast information but has stated most games will be on linear TV/Cable, we have come to assume hit will be NESN for Boston, and all games not on TV will be streamable in some fashion.
