We wrap up this past weekend’s action.
The holiday break is here for our college teams and the PWHL is holding a mini camp in Utica, where our team isn’t exactly running the place.
Boston College (8-7-1, 8-3-1-1 HEA) USAT Poll: 15 (-1) HEA: T-1st (0 Points Behind)
- Last week: W 5-1 @ Providence (12/1), T 2-2 OT (SOW 2-1) @ Connecticut (12/2)
- Coming Week: No Games
After blowing out Providence the Eagles were able to salvage the shootout point against a UConn team they are tied with atop the table. BC will be off until the end of the month.
Boston University (6-7-1, 4-5-0-2 HEA) USAT Poll: NR HEA: 9th (16 Points behind)
- Last week: L 1-2 OT v Northeastern (12/1), T 3-3 OT (SOL 1-2) @ Providence (12/2)
- Coming Week: v Holy Cross (12/8), v Providence (12/9)
After coming close to upsetting NU the Terriers were un able to get a win as they couldn’t;t even get the shootout point against Providence. They are our only team still in action as they host Holy Cross and then wrap their season series against PC.
Harvard University (2-12-1, 1-9-1-1 ECAC, 0-4-1 Ivy) USAT Poll: NR ECAC: 11th (19.5 Points Behind) Ivy: 6th (4 Games Behind)
- Last week: W 1-0 OT v St. Lawrence (12/1), L 1-9 v Clarkson (12/2)
- Coming Week: No Games
A shocking OOOT win over a St. Lawrence team many were thinking were contenders only a few weeks ago gets the Crimson out of the cellar in the ECAC but they are still limping along, they too will be off for the semester.
Northeastern University (10-8-0, 6-6-0-1 HEA) USAT Poll: ARV (19) (+) HEA: T-3rd (7 Points Behind)
- Last week: W 2-1 OT @ Boston University (12/1)
- Coming Week: No Games
An overtime win is better then the alternative for the Huskies but Northeastern seems to be back to their scoring woes as their former back up goalie held them in check most of the night. They will be regrouping for the rest of the semester before they play their final non Beanpot non conference game.
Boston PWHL (INSERT NAME HERE) (0-0-0) Standings: 1st (-)
- Last Week: NA
- Next Week: NA
The league is playing around with some rules and the coaching staff has held back some players, as of last nights scrimmage they haven’t put Frankel in net and their initial free agents sat out the first game but the lack of scoring is a concern, and some reports are talking about worries about the defensive corp. There is plenty of time before the season starts for the team to find a groove and we will see what roster changes come out of Utica.
Record This Week: 3-2-2
