Game notes
- Last game was a good start that fell apart. Boston will need to channel the energy they came out with once again, but this time take care of the puck.
- The shots on goal total was very low on both sides, though a lot of that can be chalked up to blocked shots. Each team will be looking to test the oposing goalie a bit tonight.
- It isn’t gonna matter how well a goalie plays if you are shutout by the opposing goalie. Boston had some opportunities but was never able to solve Hensley, and are now once again running out of rope.
- Hensley was given the net after Rooney had an off night. After the game Coach Klee talked about their rotation. Question now is does he ride the hot goalie like he did in the previous series or does he stick with his rotation.
- Last time out it was all Jaques. The traded defender netted the puck twice including the back breaking empty net goal. After the game Coach Kessel remarked that the trade worked out for everyone, though Boston sure wishes they didn’t have to play her in that game two.
- Boston continued to roll out four powerful lines but no one was able to step up. Defender Jess Healey had a goal called back on a rushed whistle by the refs but no forwards were able to figure out Hensley.
