Mueller is back? Frankel still a wall? Season turning around?
Boston seem energized to be back in front of their home fans and the crowd was enjoying it, The Fleet came out firing and they were rewarded when Alina Mueller got her first goal of the season. You could see the palpable relief from her along with he joy as she has had a very frustrating season. Mueller would remain a feature at the end of the period she was able to set up Emily Brown for her first goal of the season to give Boston a rare multigoal lead.
The middle frame was devoid of scoring but had plenty oof penalties. Boston was unable to control the puck for large stretches and relied on their defense and goaltending to hold on to their lead.
The third saw Toronto continue to barrage Aerin Frankel, but it was Boston that got a first minute goal to put Toronto on the back foot. Shay Maloney would take a pass from Mueller to put this game largely out of reach for Toronto. Blayre Turnbull would find the net behind Frankel to cut the lead down to two but it was not enough as even after pulling the goalie Toronto was unable to solve Boston again and gave up an empty netter to Megan Keller, the only Boston goal Mueller didn’t register a point on.

Game Notes
- We are back to shooting issues for the Fleet. After a respectable first where they edged Toronto by one shot, and scored two goals, Boston would only register four shoots in the second and were majorly outshout again win the third, though some of that can be explained by Toronto trying to shoot more being down.
- The penalty kill stayed effective shutting down the Sceptres four times, the power play as mostly flat being held silent both opportunities.
- Frankel stood tall for the Fleet garnering a second star recognition. There were stretches this game could have wildly flipped in the opposite direction but she kept Boston ahead.
- This was the first regulation win for Boston in over a month since they defeated Ottawa the last time they played in Lowell.
- The Fleet will head back on the road Sunday for another meeting with Minnesota.
