Another OT, more dropped points.
The Fleet rode the momentum from their shoot out win on Sunday to a good start last night. Hannah Bilka continued her hot streak putting the Fleet up early assisted by Hilary Knight and Daniela Pejsova. Boston immediately doubled the lead off the stick of Shea Maloney but the Frost successfully challenged for goalie interference and the goal was wiped off the board. The Frost would even the score in the middle of the period when Denisa Krisova potted her first goal of the season.
The second period saw some long stretches without a whistle and both teams had chances to take a lead but neither team was able to solve the goalies. The Frost had two more power plays as Megan Keller took two penalties but Minnesota only got one shot on frame on them. Boston had sustained pressure multiple times but was equally unable to light the lamp
It was a quiet third period as neither team was able to separate themselves and it led to these teams once again playing overtime hockey.
The overtime saw a lot more excitement with the open ice, both teams coming close to ending the game a few times. It would end with Taylor Heise sniping Emma Soderberg.
