The Boston Celtics have opened up a big lead in the Eastern Conference standings. At the time of this writing, they look like the top club in the East with just a few weeks to go before the postseason begins. But does that make them the best team in the NBA?
Out west, the Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder have been playing particularly well, and look poised to make a real run at winning the title this year. Back in the Eastern Conference, familiar foils like the Milwaukee Bucks have looked very good as of late, and are showing signs that they too will look to make a splash in the playoffs. Where does that leave Boston in the hierarchy of teams this season?
