The Dallas Mavericks opened up their road game with the Boston Celtics with a quick 3 point lead, but it was all downhill for Dallas after that. The Celtics held the Mavs to just 26.6% from 3 to get a 138-110 blowout win at TD Garden on Thursday night.
Despite the fact that Dallas superstar Luka Doncic put up 37 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists, the Celtics seemed almost unstoppable save for some wavering in the game’s third quarter. Big outings from Jayson Tatum (32 points, 8 rebounds), Jaylen Brown (25 points, 7 boards, 5 assists), and Kristaps Porzingis (24 points, 6 rebounds) won the day for Boston.
The Celtics also got good boosts from Derrick White (13 points, 7 boards, 8 assists), Jrue Holiday (11 points, 7 assists), Al Horford (12 points, 8 boards), and Payton Pritchard (10 points), the latter two off the bench.
