The Boston Celtics have acquired Jrue Holiday from the Portland Trail Blazers for Robert Williams, Malcolm Brogdon, a 2024 first round pick from the Golden State Warriors and a 2029 unprotected first round pick.
The Blazers acquired Holiday as part of the Damian Lillard trade. Portland currently plans to keep Williams, but could look to move Brogdon in a separate trade as they’re committed to their existing young guards of Scoot Henderson, Anfernee Simons and Shaedon Sharpe.
The Celtics acquired Brogdon from the Indiana Pacers during the 2022 offseason and nearly traded him in June as part of the Kristap Porzingis trade.
