The Boston Celtics head to Gainsbridge Fieldhouse this coming Saturday (May 25) night to play Game 3 of their 2024 Eastern Conference finals series with the Indiana Pacers. They will do so with a 2-0 series lead and the potential to leave Game 3 with a commanding 3-0 series lead should star Pacers point guard Tyrese Halliburton not be able to play through his re-aggravated left hamstring injury.
But the Celtics are dealing with some potentially cascading injury concerns of their own, with star Boston big man Kristaps Porzingis still out nursing his strained right soleus back to health and backup Celtics center Luke Kornet having sprained his left wrist in Game 2.
We think that Boston can sweep the series with a Game 3 win, but they will have to resist the temptation of taking their foot off the gas.
