Boston Celtics starting center Robert Williams missed Game 4 against the Milwaukee Bucks due to a “flare up” in his surgically repaired left knee. Boston coach Ime Udoka said that he doesn’t expect the absence to be a lengthy one.
Udoka said that Williams having soreness just six weeks after surgery wasn’t unexpected. There was no issue or re-injury during Game 3. Williams was sore on Monday morning prior to Game 4, and Boston made the decision to hold him out.
Grant Williams started in place of Robert Williams, as Boston got the road win to even the second-round matchup at 2-2. The series now shifts back to Boston for Game 5 on Wednesday.
