During the late stages of Game 2 between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics, ESPN’s camera crew focused on a disappointed fan in the crowd. Unfortunately for that fan, they’re about to become a meme for the rest of the playoffs.
The Boston fan who went viral had a tattoo that said “Doubt” on his left arm. Each letter for his tattoo was crossed out.
It was pretty ironic that a Boston fan’s “Doubt” tattoo was highlighted while the Celtics were getting dismantled on their own floor.
As you’d expect, people hopped on social media to offer their thoughts on this fan’s questionable tattoo.
“Poor guy has no idea he is going to be the face of Boston failure for the next several years,” one fan tweeted.
Another fan said, “This is the cameraman equivalent of shattering the backboard.”
“Speaking from personal experience you just gotta embrace the fact that you were despondent enough for the broadcast crew to find and highlight you,” a third fan wrote on X.
“This is like the opposite of getting a championship tattoo before the championship,” a social media user added.

We’d have to imagine this fan is aware of the jokes being made on X, formerly known as Twitter
The Celtics will try to bounce back in Game 3. Tipoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
