Whether Jrue Holiday wins a title with the Boston Celtics this summer or not, it is sounding like the UCLA alum will not be getting much rest before the NBA’s 2024-25 season arrives. The Athletic’s Shams Charania and Joe Vardon report that Holiday “is expected to be among the 12 members of Team USA’s roster for the 2024 Olympics, barring unforeseen circumstances.”
“USA Basketball has been pursuing Holiday for much of the NBA season, and it’s believed Holiday has delivered his commitment to (Team USA) officials in recent weeks,” they add, noting Holiday’s two-way play, defense, and floor generalship as important components to the team.
“Holiday was considered Team USA’s second-most important player behind Kevin Durant on the gold-medal-winning team in Tokyo in 2021,” writes The Athletic.
