Former NBA star Paul Pierce reportedly has a new media gig.
Pierce will be joining FS1’s Undisputed alongside Skip Bayless in a contributor role, according to Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post.
“Sources said the deal is not finalized but could be as soon as this week,” Glasspiegel wrote.
Assuming everything works out, Pierce will join a roster of contributors that includes Keyshawn Johnson, Michael Irvin, Richard Sherman, Rachel Nichols and others. Undisputed has been using a rotating panel of guests following the departure of Shannon Sharpe as Bayless’ co-host last summer.
Pierce, 46, currently co-hosts the “Ticket & The Truth” podcast with fellow Hall of Famer and Boston Celtics teammate Kevin Garnett. He spent nearly four years as an NBA analyst with ESPN before being fired in April 2021.
A contributor on NBA Countdown and NBA Live, Pierce was let go by the Worldwide Leader after going on Instagram Live while drinking alcohol and smoking a blunt and having women in bikinis in the background.
“I got fired for having some entertainment. I’m playing cards…It’s girls dancing and we blowing some tree. What did I do wrong?” Pierce said on the I Am Athlete podcast at the time.
“I don’t ever go live either, I was just feeling my [hair] cut or something, and then it was popping behind me.”
