The Boston Celtics could potentially be heading into their game against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday (April 12), with six rotation members on the injury report. With just two games to go in the regular season and nothing left to play for, Joe Mazzulla and his coaching staff could rest their primary rotation.
Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, Jrue Holiday, Al Horford and Kristaps Porzingis have all been included on the team’s injury report. If some of them are cleared to play, we will likely see them operating on a minutes restriction as the Celtics look to navigate the final days of the regular season while minimizing the risk of injury to one of their core rotation.
Boston comes into its game against Charlotte on the second night of a back-to-back. The Celtics fell to the New York Knicks on Thursday (April 11), courtesy of some lackluster defense and questionable effort levels.

Assuming the Celtics do sit their core rotation, we will likely see some of their deeper bench players take to the court, as we have in their recent stretch of games.
