The Boston Celtics soundly defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 135-100 Wednesday night at TD Garden, one of the top teams in the Western Conference. With the win, the Celtics secured their 60th win of the regular season, and securing the NBA’s top seed for the first time in 16 years.
The Thunder are a young team with tons of athleticism, and actually defeated the Celtics at home in early January. Tonight, Oklahoma City was without All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but they came out hungry just the same. After a sluggish start, however, Boston was the better team for the rest of the contest. Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kristaps Porzingis were each dominant for different stretches, combining for 74 points.
Let’s recap a 135-100 Celtics win over the visiting Thunder.
