Right after winning an NBA championship, Jaylen Brown solicited help for a lost ring.
The Boston Celtics star posted on Instagram Stories that he misplaced a custom ring for his “7UICE” brand during Friday’s parade. Brown offered a “big reward” for anyone who found it.
He retweeted a post from Celtics writer Cameron Tabatabaie sharing Brown’s Instagram photos.
Brown will soon receive another prized ring after leading the Celtics to their first championship since 2008.
The 27-year-old won NBA Finals MVP honors after averaging 20.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.0 rebounds in a five-game series against the Dallas Mavericks. He registered 23.9 points on a 51.6 field-goal percentage during a dominant postseason in which the Celtics lost just three times.
Boston has made 10 straight playoff runs, at least making the Eastern Conference Finals in six of the last eight years. Following many close calls, Brown and Jayson Tatum finally brought a title to Boston after 107 playoff games together.
“None of it feels real right now,” Brown said during Boston’s locker-room celebration, via NBC Sports Boston. “It feels like we’re in some Disney movie or something, but I’m super grateful.”
Brown showed up to Friday’s parade wearing a shirt that said “State your source,” mirroring his response to Stephen A. Smith claiming people in the league don’t like Brown because of his “I am better than you attitude.” A huge crowd in Beantown celebrated the prestigious franchise’s 18th championship, so perhaps one of the many attendees has information regarding the missing ring.
