The Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks playing in the regular season is usually only exceeded in terms of intensity in NBA games when they meet in the postseason. But there is a very good chance that when the Bucks and Celtics play at Wisconsin’s Fiserv Forum on this coming (April 9) Tuesday night, that neither ball club will have their heart in it.
With both Boston and Milwaukee gearing up for a (hopefully) deep postseason run, the Celtics and Bucks have plenty of reasons to keep at least some of their better players on the bench. We expect the tilt to matter a bit more to Milwaukee with the Orlando Magic breathing down their neck in the Eastern Conference standings.
But given Boston has nothing to gain with the league’s top record locked up, this one could go either way. With the Bucks on a four-game losing streak and the Celtics winning games with their second unit lately, we’ll take Boston.
