The Boston Celtics will face the Dallas Mavericks on their own home court as their 2024 NBA Finals series shifts back to New England this coming Monday (June 17) night, with a 3-1 lead in the finals and the ability to close out the series and win a league-record 18th banner in Game 4.
But in order for them to do that, they will need to play like the team that got them to this point in the postseason and the best record in the 2023-24 regular season — something they very much did NOT do in Game 4 of the series. To be sure, much of the reason why was the improved lay of Dallas, but the margins are so critical at this stage that any let-up at all can be the difference between a win and a loss.
But we believe Boston will win it all Monday night.
