Danilo Gallinari has agreed to sign the Boston Celtics on a two-year, $13 million deal once he clears waivers following his release by the San Antonio Spurs.
The second year of the deal is a player option.
Boston is using its $6.5 million taxpayer midlevel to sign Gallinari.
The Spurs acquired Gallinari as part of the Dejounte Murray trade with the Atlanta Hawks.
Gallinari is represented by Michael Tellem.
