While the Boston Celtics may not be doing as well as they have been for much of the NBA’s 2023-24 season with recent losses to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Denver Nuggets, they still have the best record in the NBA by a wide margin. And star Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis has been no small part of the force behind Boston’s success this season.
The Latvian big man gives the Celtics post-up and long-distance shooting capabilities they did not really have on their roster before, making busting zone defenses a relatively easy affair and KP a nightmare to guard for smaller players. And at over 7 feet tall, pretty much all players in the league save a handful are smaller players to Porzingis.
On a recent episode of WEEI’s “Gresh and Fauria” show, the hosts linked up with NBAer Danny Green, and the crew debated just how key KP is for the Celtics’ title hopes moving forward this season.
