Since the NBA’s 2024 All-Star break, star Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown has far and away been the best player on Boston’s roster — and that roster has a top-five candidate 2024 Kia Most Valuable Player award on it.
The Georgia native’s play has been the deciding factor in more than one of the Celtics’ many recent wins, and it has been on both ends of the court. Had Brown been playing this way for even a few weeks longer, Boston might even have had multiple players in the race to win this season’s MVP — even if having two players on the same team would likely mean neither would have a shot to win it.
The host of the CLNS Media “Still Poddable” podcast Brian Robb was joined by guest Chris Gasper of the Boston Globe to hit on a variety of Celtics topics 65 games into the season.
They touched on Brown’s standout play since the break, bench consistency and a look at the potential playoff picture — and more.
