When star Boston Celtics big man Kristaps Porzingis came into the NBA, his skill set as a true 7-foot center with ball handling, passing, and shooting skills plus mobility that few centers in today’s NBA possess, he was rightfully dubbed “the Unicorn”.
The Latvian sharpshooter joined a mediocre New York Knicks franchise whose internal issues eventually created a falling out for Porzingis and the Knicks’ front office, leading to a trade request that would send him to the Dallas Mavericks. He would later be dealt to the Washington Wizards to complete the cycle again, but now appears to be back on his feet in a good situation with the Celtics.
The folks behind the “Shooters’ Touch” YouTube channel put together a clip chronicling his rise, fall, and rise again with Boston in a recent video.
