Star Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown may think that the Golden State Warriors were not giving him the respect he is due as a force in today’s NBA, but he also did not seem to mind too much in the wake of it happening. After the Dubs elected to sag off the Georgia native in Boston’s 140-88 beatdown of the Warriors, Brown shared his mind on the decision by Golden State.
“That’s the first time that’s ever happened to me,” he said to the media postgame. Honestly, I was a bit surprised; it took a little bit of adjusting.” And adjust Brown did, hitting 5 3-pointers in the game’s first frame, putting up 19 points in the quarter and power Boston to a historic halftime lead.
The folks behind ESPN’s “NBA on ESPN” channel put Brown’s comments on their official YouTube channel after the win.
Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what he had to say.
