Stephen A. Smith has been rather tough on the Boston Celtics this year. He didn’t always believe they could win the 2024 NBA Championship. And he was especially tough on Jaylen Brown, with the veteran reporter claiming a source had recently told him that Brown wasn’t a marketable player due to his “I’m better than you attitude.”
Brown has since responded in genius fashion. The 2024 NBA Finals MVP wore a shirt to the Celtics championship parade with the slogan “State Your Source,” which was about Smith’s comments earlier in the season. Brown had also called Smith out on social media following his claim.
The “Around The Association” YouTube channel has taken a deeper dive into the situation between Brown and Smith, detailing the entire saga and why Brown’s t-shirt was such a smart response to the popular ESPN anchor.
