Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum is still basking in the glow of winning the 2024 NBA Finals. The Celtics star is fond of calling any member of the title team “Champ” whenever he greets them. Tatum also has another reason to smile, after signing the richest contract in NBA history this summer.
The Celtics and Tatum agreed to a five-year, $313.9 million contract extension this offseason. Tatum hopes this deal is another step to keeping him with the only NBA home he’s ever known.
“For me just to feel wanted, and they want me to be here and want me for the long haul,” Tatum said. “I’ll spend my whole career here and have got nothing but love for the fans, the city, and the organization. You know, we just won a championship and I want to try to win as many as I can.”
