Payton Pritchard’s fiancée, Emma Macdonald, was fired up about the Boston Celtics capturing their 18th NBA title on Monday night, that’s for sure.
Macdonald, who has over 365,000 followers on Instagram, shared several photos from Monday night’s celebration at TD Garden. One particular photo of her went viral in a matter of minutes.
Last night, Macdonald posted a photo of her chugging a bottle of Cincoro Tequila on her Instagram Story. She was wearing a white tank top with Pritchard’s name across the front of it.
This photo of Macdonald had a short but fitting caption: “LFG.”
Around that same time, Macdonald posted a heartfelt message for Pritchard on social media.
“My champion,” Macdonald wrote. “I am so beyond proud of you and everything you have accomplished so far in this lifetime! I can’t wait to be by your side through many more! I love you x1000000.”
Macdonald and Pritchard got engaged last July in Cape Cod. It’s only fitting that he gets his ring roughly a year later.
Pritchard finished Game 5 of the NBA Finals with only three points, but at least it came on a memorable basket. The former Oregon star hit a half-court shot to end the first half.
“I think the play of the game can’t go unnoticed, the humility of our team, is Payton’s shot at the end of the quarter,” Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla said, via the Associated Press. “You see guys around the league pass up on that shot or fake like they want to take it, so that their numbers don’t get messed up. He takes pride in taking that, and that’s winning basketball.”
“Here’s Pritchard he loves these… puts it up from halfcourt at the buzzer… BANG… HE’S DONE IT AGAIN!” https://t.co/dWXM1HVj4D pic.twitter.com/EtcSju6Gn0

If only Macdonald shared her viewpoint of that epic shot from Pritchard. That would’ve been epic.
Well, at least she shared the photo of her chugging tequila.
