The Boston Celtics got back to business against the Chicago Bulls, starting up their 2023-24 schedule after a pause for the NBA’s 2024 All-Star Week with a road tilt.
There were moments in the first half where it looked like the Celtics might be dangerously playing down to their opponent, letting the Bulls move freely on their offense. But Boston dialed it up in the game’s third quarter, building a 21-point lead on their way to a 129-112 win. Despite outscoring the Celtics by 20 in the paint and winning the rebounding battle by 9, Chicago shooting just 35.7% from deep to Boston’s 48.9% was the tale of the tilt in a nutshell.
