The Boston Celtics elected to sit six of their best players for their penultimate contest of the NBA’s 2023-24 season vs. the Charlotte Hornets, health and rest being a priority for the team ahead of the 2024 playoffs. But it did not matter all that much, with the Stay Ready Crew living up to their sobriquet.
The game was close early on, but Boston’s reserves broke it open at the start of the second frame, and never looked back, winning 131-96. Winning the battle of the boards by 20 rebounds, the march of dimes by 14 assists, and picking the Hornets’ pockets a dozen times to 3 had Charlotte behind the proverbial eight-ball early.
