In the Boston Celtics‘ penultimate contest of their 2023-24 regular season campaign, the team elected to sit Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Al Horford, Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, and Kristaps Porzingis vs. the Charlotte Hornets. And it mattered very little in the end, with the Stay Ready Crew spanking the Hornets 131-98.
Payton Pritchard had one of the best nights of his career, putting up 31 points and 11 assists. Sam Hauser (16 points), Luke Kornet (16 points, 10 rebounds), and Jaden Springer (11 points, 6 boards, 3 steals) all had good games among the starters.
Neemias Queta (16 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists) also had a good game off the bench, as did Oshae Brissett (8 points, 11 boards).

The Celtics have but one game left in the NBA’s 2023-24 regular season, a 1 p.m. matinée showdown with the Washington Wizards.
Do not be surprised if there are roughly as many players sitting out for the game, though we may see starters mixed back into the rotation to keep conditioning stay strong for the postseason.
