The Boston Celtics defeated the visiting Philadelphia 76ers 117-99 Tuesday at TD Garden. Jayson Tatum led the way with a dominant 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists, earning a few MVP chants in the process. Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis each had big nights as well.
This looked like a very different version of the Celtics. Again and again, Boston attacked the rim rather than shooting a high volume of 3-pointers. It was a unique approach, and one that really came into its own in the second half. The Celtics outscored the Sixers 64-48 in the second half behind pugnacious, aggressive play.
