This is a great way to honor a basketball legend after Walton passed away on Monday, May 27 at the age of 71.Ā
Walton played his collegiate career at UCLA before playing in the NBA from 1974-1988. He spent the final two seasons of his career with the Celtics but also spent time with the Portland Trail Blazers and the San Diego (now Los Angeles) Clippers.Ā
He won two NBA titles during his career, one with the Blazers in 1977, and the other with the Celtics in 1986.
He then went on to have a career in broadcasting and was known for his outstanding personality on the air.Ā
Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Celtics and Mavericks will tip-off at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
The Celtics are trying to win their first NBA title since 2008 while the Mavericks are trying to win their first one since 2011.Ā
