The Boston Celtics have designs on contention and an open roster spot, meaning they are all but certain to do something to fill that roster spot, and quite possibly before the NBA’s 2024 trade deadline. They could sign a free agent or a buyout player to fill it, or elevate a two way player like Neemias Queta to a full roster spot.
They could also absorb a contract or two into the Grant Williams traded player exception worth $6.2 million, depending on what went out.
