Who will the Boston Celtics play in the first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs? The pool of potential opponents has shrunk to just six ball clubs, all of whom could make for an interesting series for very different reasons. The Philadelphia 76ers are probably the worst possible matchup for a first round series with the Celtics, and the Miami Heat would not be an easy out for Boston, either.
The Indiana Pacers could be a stylistic challenge that should still be a shorter series for the Celtics, and the Orlando Magic might be a pest with their length and athleticism. The Atlanta Hawks were a pain last postseason, and could be again, and the Chicago Bulls, well — let’s just say they are the best option for Boston to play.
The hosts of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast, Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance, took a closer look at the Boston postseason possibilities on a recent episode. Check it out below!
