Oskar Jellvik is our pick for Most Improved Male Player after enjoying a bit of a breakout season for the Eagles. Jellvik did a lot of things right without being rewarded too often on the scoreboard in his first year at BC, but that changed in a big way in his sophomore season.
Jellvik started the season on an absolute tear, scoring five goals in his first five games to surpass his four-goal freshman campaign before the calendar had even turned to November. Jellvik more than doubled all of his scoring numbers from his first season as an Eagle, jumping from four goals and 17 points as a freshman to 13 goals and 42 points as a sophomore. Skating mostly on a line with Cutter Gauthier and Andre Gasseau, Jellvik finished with the fourth most points on the team, ending the season behind only the four first round picks.
He also had one of the best plays in a season that featured a whole bunch of great plays when he made this pass in a November game against Notre Dame
Just a ridiculous pass from Oskar Jellvik, to Andre Gasseau. Jellvik is now over a point per game and has turned himself into a real threat in the NCAA. Bruins might’ve found something here. #NHLBruins pic.twitter.com/bycFS8geJl

Jellvik showed up in a big way for the Eagles early on in their NCAA Tournament run, putting up five points in their first two games including a big goal in their first round game to put away a Michigan Tech team that was giving BC fits into the third period. All together, Jellvik is putting together a very nice career as an Eagle and should play a major role on what will hopefully be another powerhouse team in his junior season.
