Boston College Baseball ended its season with four straight losses and will miss the ACC Tournament after finishing last in the Atlantic Division with a 22-31 record and an 8-22 ACC record. After dropping two of three games to Maryland last weekend, the Eagles lost a midweek game to Georgetown before being swept in a road series against Clemson.
Pitching was where this team really struggled this year and the staff finished with a collective ERA of 6.63. Major strides will have to be made both by the players and coaches to ensure they pitch better next year and remain competitive in the ACC.
Cameron Leary and Nick Wang were the team’s biggest sources of offensive output this year. Leary led the team in homers with 15, while also hitting 8 doubles, stealing 23 bags, and driving in a team-high 48 runs. Wang mashed eleven home runs, 12 doubles, and drove in 44 runs.
See you next year, Birdball fans!
